It took me a while to read Losing Hope after reading Hopeless because I didn't have it but I just received it and let me say that I could not be happier. I knew going into the book that it was going to be the same storyline as Hopeless but from Dean Holder's side, and honestly so much has been explained for me. I didn't know exactly what Dean was thinking during Hopeless so to be able to understand him more and see his side of everything when he left Sky, and when he went back and how much Les' death really affected him.

Dean Holder - I loved him in the first book, but I can say now that I truly love him now. He is so strong, we didn't see how much Holder actually went through in the first book just because it was all Sky's side and what she was going through which was a lot. But we knew that Holder had gone through things, but we didn't know how far they really went and how much he had to work through and live with. I can say that I am so proud of Holder because he overcame a lot and people may say that he reacted badly a lot of the time - but I have to say that he reacted better than I think most people would react after losing a twin, and having all kinds of rumors spread about you. He handled it well - but I didn't know that Holder had fallen in love with Sky first so that's so awesome to watch him fall in love with her, because we know how Sky feels and we know how she reacts to things, so we get to watch him dwell and love and do everything and it's just so amazing, I think that Colleen had the BEST idea when she thought to write Losing Hope.

Sky, we already knew who Sky was we knew who she really was it wasn't a surprise to us while reading this novel but how closely Holder pays attention to her is something else. To see Sky through Holder's eyes is like seeing Sky for the first time. It's truly remarkable how different a person can look just by the point of view of a novel.

There was so much for me to love about this novel, especially because I knew what was going to happen, but to see why Holder reacts the way he does, the feelings he feels - and what goes through his head just makes it so much easier to understand the all around picture of the story. Sky and Holder were made for each other - I just can't wait to see what's going on when it comes to Daniel in Finding Cinderella.
