I received this book from Love ALL Books on Facebook for free for an honest review. That in no way has changed my review or my thoughts on this book.
I just have to say that this was a really good read, I liked the idea of a straight man owning a salon - and knowing what he was doing in the salon that wasn't just "running a business" but he was very hands on, and he was great with his customers. I loved the concept of a broken down helpless girl needs a job and finds one and seeks comfort in her boss, although she denies for the longest time. I really enjoyed it, since it was the first type of book like that I have read - in a while. But once you read it a hundred times, it becomes "cliche". Anyways, the plot was good, and I have to say that the characters weren't too bad either. I was able to bond with the main character, Amy, quite a bit in certain parts of her life that you experience.

Amelia, better known as Amy in the novel is a young woman that just doesn't know how to stay out of trouble. Just kidding. Trouble loves to find her, and it's just one bad thing after another, thank god for her sexy hunky boss, Nate. I think that it's cute that all these things go wrong in her life - and that he is constantly there to try and protect her and what not. But it's almost as though Amy is a constant damsel in distress, although she doesn't mean to be. You can tell that she is hard working, although she was doped up on Benadryl she was still at work and wanting to work - and she isn't scared to tell someone when she wants things done her way... That is something that I admire deeply about her, she's an average girl who knows what she wants and how to get it. And she is the only exception to Nate's one rule...

Nate - at first I wasn't sure how to feel about him, due to the cocky "I know I'm hot" attitude and how he constantly just put someone down, for not following orders, it's true. But there are reasons sometimes people come in face to face or call because they don't have the means to follow those "simple" instructions when they don't have a computer or something. I feel as though I would have liked to know Nate a little more - I thought that getting his perspective would help me to get him, but it really didn't. I like Nate, a lot more than I thought that I would. I just personally feel as though once he started to admit that there may be something there with him and Amy - that he went a little possessive. Which isn't always a bad thing, but I do have to say that it's different, just because of the simple fact, he showed up at her house unannounced and without it being okay. He started to stalk the poor girl.

Olivia, the only reason that I feel I need to talk about Olivia, is one that she got Amy her job and two that you get to see her point of view, which is a nice touch. She is one stubborn cookie that is for sure, and I just have to say, that I really enjoyed how much willpower she really had. I feel as though Aspen put Olivia in the book to show that you can overcome anything, including smoking, if it's something you really want to do... Even if that means eating a large bag of Jolly Ranchers all the time, everyday!

This was the first novel that I've ever read by Aspen Drake - and I have to say that I really did enjoy it. I enjoyed so much of it, that after I took a nap and woke up at 10pm I had to finish it so I did, I stayed up until 1am and finished the novel. And let me just say that I was only 31% through it when I thought that I was just going to finish it really quickly. I really enjoyed it. And honestly, I cannot wait to be able to read Fierce Salon: RINSE and Fierce Salon: REPEAT. I think that this storyline has so much potential to really go somewhere, especially with the cliffhanger that this novel left off on. That is why I am dying to be able to read the following book!
